Catherine Yvonne Ball, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and esteemed physiotherapist, left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched and the town of Perth. Born in Hemel Hempstead, England, Catherine's journey led her from the halls of Leeds Metropolitan University in Yorkshire to a fulfilling career and life in Canada, where she emigrated in 1999 after marrying Jason Ball. Her passion for healing and care was evident through her successful business venture, Perth Physiotherapy which she founded in 2008. Catherine's unwavering determination and the love she had for her patients and staff made her a beloved figure in both her professional and community circles.
Catherine leaves behind a loving legacy through her children, Alice, Sophie, and Tommy, who each reflect her remarkable qualities. As the cherished daughter of Michael and Frances Bull, she was shaped by their unwavering love, guidance and support into the compassionate and driven woman known to many. Catherine's deep bonds of love and camaraderie were shared with her brothers, Matt and Jon, and were further enriched by the warm relationships she held with her sisters-in-law, Sally and Lauren as well as Jason's family. Her role as an auntie was marked by inspiration, fun, and care, bringing joy, laughter, and memorable moments to her nieces and nephew, Connie, Betsy, Willow, Bronte, Mary, and James.
Her legacy will continue to inspire and influence everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Catherine's life was a testament to her strength, kindness, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her vibrant spirit, her nurturing care, and her invaluable contributions to her family, friends, and community.
A celebration of life will be held at Code's Mill on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Catherine's memory to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation and Lanark County Mental Health.
