Pat and Smith Family:
My heart broke into pieces at the sudden unexpected death which makes it hard for all to comprehend your father's passing. I come to value your father's friendship, his kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you, Sanford, for you have given me so many happy memories (the coffee club, flea marketing, yard sales, our one on one talks, watching hockey games, couldn't see when they scored with the closed caption on and plenty more memories) to remember you by as they will be held deep within my heart. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that Sanford's loss is felt by all who knew and loved him. One of Sanford's dog walker for his faithful companion, Barney

There are no words to say how much I will miss Ron (Old Fart). His laughter alone will be with me forever. I can’t explain how much it meant to move into this neighborhood and be automatically drawn into the tom foolery of the ‘Boys’, and I truly hope they will continue these shenanigans in memory of Ron and his fantastic sense of humor.
I will think of Ron every time I go into our backyard and wait for him and his camera, his silly antidotes, and hearing about his latest project.
Any person that had any sort of interaction with Ron is incredibly fortunate as that interaction would have brought laughter into your life.
The sympathy that I extend to Ron’s family and friends is inexplicable. I hope we can all appreciate that he was a part of our lives and celebrate that we had the joy to have experienced that.
Ron, I will miss you. Know that you are forever in my heart and the memory of you will be with me forever. You touched my life and you were an angel when you were with us and still now that you have moved on.
Love and blessings, Jennifer Needs

I am not quite sure what to say.
You have always made each day more enlightening no mater what was going on.
From discussing bowling scores to pulling staples out of my kitchen ceiling there was always a laugh to be had.
Looking over the fence will never be the same but as I look through the neighborhood I continue to see a part of you in the lives of the people you touched. So rather than saying that you will be missed for me it is different.
You'll always be here.

To The Smith Family: I am so truly sorry to hear of the passing of Papa Ron, I will always remember his laugh. When I think of Papa Ron I remember sitting at the kitchen table on Kent Street. I would watch him roll his cigarettes. I was always amazed at the way he rolled them with his little machine. I would often ask him if I could help.I was 14 when I met your dad and now at 42 when I saw him in a store I always called him Papa Ron. I just saw him a couple of weeks before Christmas at Giant Tiger and gave him a big hug. I am very thankful that I saw him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Love Sherri Cross

Well Sanford, it's hard to believe you left us 1 year ago today. You my friend, maybe gone from our sight & arms, but you know what, you will never leave us from our hearts or our memories. Barney still grieves for his Poppa but to this day we keep up with his regular routine just like you did. He enjoys visiting his Poppa as he takes his post where you lay. Thanks to your magic in perking him up when he comes for his visits. When the moon is at it's brighest, I know it's you looking down on all of us, protecting us & thanks for showing us you're still with all of us. Happy Holidays to you & your wife as both of you are forever together now. The biggest & plentiful woofs, woofs & doggie kisses from your very, very loyal faithful companion, Barney. One of your loyal faithful dog walkers.xoxoxo
