We met Con & Marilyn in Myrtle Beach during the winter of 91,92. That meeting became a wonderful friendship that lasted over the years since.Although we did not see each other as often as we would have liked to, we have kept in touch over the years. We think back to the many times we shared together . They were filled with frivolity & laughter. WE hope Con's coffee pot is filled to overflowing! Dear Uncle Connie: It was 31 years ago that Ian first introduced you to me and who knew then that it would be part of a life shared. Through visits to your home in Ottawa, working on the house in Westport or watching the birds in the backyard in Lombardy. Good times, many good times with lots of laughs, lots of political debates and many times where we could just relax and look at all the things happening in our lives. Even though we have spent much of that time with many miles between us you have always had a special place in our hearts and our lives. As we moved along life's path you were there to quietly encourage us and support us in the decisions we made. We will miss you and will rely on the great memories of times shared. Each will bring a smile and a tear in thankfulness.

Just the mention of your name brings a smile to my face. You were the uncle whom I fell in love with all those many years ago when you regularly came to mom's for lunch, when you had a job nearby. You were quiet but always had a smile, and would always have a joke or two to share with us. You were the one who let your face be painted as a clown at our daughter's birthday, and you and Aunt Marilyn were the ones that created the hilarious "Shady Pines" retirement home at your house, complete with costumes, signs and free prunes! Your famous "wine waiter shuffle", while serving numerous glasses of wine, was just so funny to watch. Just to make us all laugh, you would put on your best French accent and tell us a story. I will always remember and cherish my beautiful Uncle who showed great love and humour. I miss you already. xx
