Most of you don't know who I am, but I met Gordon years ago, when my late husband Abe Vanspronsen and I visited Ruth and Gordon. Gordon and I hit it off right away. We have kept in touch even after Abe passed away in 2003. Gordon was a gentle man full of spunk. The stories he told were funny, interesting and memorable. He called me quite often, after Ruth's passing and we talked about almost everything. It was a real pleasure to have met this man and I hold my memories of him close to my heart. I do extend my condolences to all the family. Gordon will be truly missed.

Dear Heather,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I have the fondest memories of your Mom and your Dad when I worked for them as their Homemaker. They were more than clients, they were like second parents to me! They would witness to me when I needed it and they listened me. They were also instrumental in making sure I had enough food on the table for my kids during the summer months when I got to help them in their garden. They were such a generous couple in their living and their giving. I am a better person having known them,.....truly!
Love and blessings,
Louise and family.

Grandpa
There are many stories I could tell about Grandpa Hughes. He was always loving, and caring. I remember talking to him many times after he had called my house and was talking to "his" Robert. Grandpa H would always say to me that little boy is so smart, he can hold a talk with me really good. That would make me smile knowing that my little boy brought so much joy into his life. He always loved it when the boys came out to visit, Grandpa H taught Allan how to clean the lawn mower after every lawn cut. He taught him a lot about how things were in the "old days". We have all learned a lot from this man, he had a wealth of knowledge to share and there was never a time when he couldn't suggest or teach you a different way to complete a task. We will greatly miss him but know he is at peace.
There are many things I can put here but just know that this man took passion in everything he did and loved everyone he met.
Thank you for taking a moment to read one of my many memories I have of Grandpa H.
