Campbell, Carol M. Passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Maycourt, Ottawa with her usual grace and dignity after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 20, 2013 Carol (McKenney) Campbell at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Gordon M. Campbell. Dearest special aunt to Carolyn Stanzel, Janine Dunlop and Dwight (Lorie) Dunlop. Sadly missed by her brother and sisters Lois (late Malcolm) Patterson, Marjorie (late Ronald) Dunlop, Allyn (Beverly) McKenney the late Elinor (late Richard) Stanzel and the late William McKenney (Ruth). Predeceased by her parents Edward and Olyve McKenny. Beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Carol worked for the Lanark County Board as Primary Coordinator and taught for 15 years. She will be remembered for her love of family, sense of humour and her love for her cottage which she called "Serenity Bay". Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Maple Vale Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Smiths Falls Library, Lanark Animal Welfare Society (L. A. W. S.), the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation or the Hospice of Maycourt would be appreciated.
