To Kim's family, friends and colleagues: I was very sorry to hear that Kim had passed away. Another example of a life ending far too soon. After reading the obituary, it's obvious Kim meant much to many. I went to high school with Kim and will remember her spirit, whether it was in the classroom or on the track or the basketball court. My sincere condolences.

Our hearts go out to you Lucie and to the Tysick family. Wow. That Kim was truly someone very, very special. Kim had the ability to captivate everyone she came into contact with. The way Kim spoke, that smile, her warm and engaging manner. We were reminiscing . . . those incredible wine and food dinners, a sit by the pool, a tour to Westport, the parade in Toronto . . . and projects too numerous to mention! What an incredible person and a dear friend.

Kim made my work at Heritage College so enjoyable and she was so supportive and made our job so fun while we were together in student services. As Academic Dean, she was a terrific sounding board for many problems that came up in our faculty day to day operations. Kim always gave 150% of her time and energy to everyone who needed her help and she had such a huge generous heart. She was so honest, dedicated and tenacious in her approach, truly a great motivator and leader. Kim touched so many many people, students, staff, friends and family in her short life and her values will be remembered and hopefully implemented by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. My condolences go out to Lucie and also to Kim's dear family who she talked about all the time and who she clearly loved, each and every one of them so much. To a very special Daughter, Sister and Aunt
Kim, being the oldest child in our family you took your role very seriously. You were our sounding board, always willing and eager to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. You wanted holidays and the special milestones in our lives to be memorable, so went to great lengths to make that happen. Santa Clause being a regular visitor on Christmas Eve always brought squeals of joy from Ethan, Megan, Colin Matt and Miranda. You loved to spoil us and your generosity of time and gifts was never ending. You had an innate need to protect us and always tried to shelter us from pain and despair. You went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of us when we were sick. You had an ability to make everyone feel important and special while in your presence, whether it was family, friends, co-workers or students by trying to give your full attention to them. Over the last two years your strength and bravery has been and inspiration to us all. You never gave up hope and you never stopped fighting. You have gone in body, but you will live on in our hearts and our memories for ever. We will love you forever and for always. :)
Mom, Lee Ann, Randy, Chris, Rick, Karen, Ethan, Megan, Colin, Matt & Miranda
