My "first" teacher!!!!!
To Jerry and all the family:
My biggest memory of Mrs. Strong was having her as my one and only teacher from Grades 1-8 in a 1 room school house. She certainly was the lady for the job. Now I have to admit I was well liked by my teacher and therefore, I was allowed to help out the little ones with math, reading etc. I also was the only girl in Grade 8 for sure, if I remember correctly, with the "boys". I enjoyed every minute of going to school knowing I was the teacher's pet.
In the summer when we were both off, I was asked to come and help her with a complete top to bottom cleaning of their house. I always got paid well.
In the spring of '89 I had to buy a house, after our house being burnt to the ground, well lo and behold, we ended up buying Mrs. Strong's house on Hwy. #7.
Therefore, I have many,many memories I will cherish of her, long after she has gone. Love you, Mrs. Strong, R.I.P, you can now join Gerald beyond the pearly gates!!!!!
