My deepest sympathies on the loss of Ellen. Like many others, I'm sure, I was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing.
Although we haven't seen each other in a while, our families go back almost sixty years and this has certainly generated a flood of memories.

Memories

Two stories of my times with Ellen come to mind. First when we were very young, skating hand-in-hand around the ice at the Manotick skating rink. The second was at a holiday party at Ken an Pam's where we spent the entire time gabbing in the kitchen, totally ignoring our hosts and other guests - terribly rude (and for that I apologize) but wonderful catching up. My thoughts are with Ellen's family and friends.

Just golf
I had many golf games with Ellen and enjoyed them all. We covered many subjects, I.e....people, games, rules and then just golf. Whenever we played we always had a money game going and it was big time, a nickle here and a dime there and it was a lot of fun. She always managed to take time to drop into see us on her way to town. She will be dearly missed.
