I first met Carolyn years ago under tragic circumstances, and then became re-acquainted with her in her volunteer role with REAL. I came to know how much she loved her family, grandchildren, friends, and community. Words fail me on the news of her passing. Please accept my sincere condolences, she will be missed, and always remembered.

Carolyn was a wonderful person to know, and a great person to work with. I was one of the lucky ones where our paths cross as colleagues in the same schoolboard, sing in combined church choirs and church functions, in parent-teacher interviews and as fellow volunteers with REAL.
Carol’s bubbling personality, dedication and commitment to her family, church and community, are exemplary. We shall miss her.
My deepest sympathy to Ian and Laurie and all those close to Carolyn.

Dear Laurie and family,
Sending sincere condolences to everyone during this very difficult time. From our family to yours, please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember your mom from our guide and ringette days, not to mention at your ball games when we were both spectators. We used to have lovely chats and I always found her to have a very quiet dignity and grace about her; these are qualities I always admired. The loss of your mom will be felt by many but please know she has left behind a great legacy-you and your wonderful boys. All our love, Kori Bigelow-Tarr and family.

To Ian and Laurie,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for Carolyn’s passing.
Besides sadness, there were many mixed emotions when I heard of the sad news in Church this morning. Sadness for the parting, but it is also the ending of her suffering.
I pray that LOVE within the family and SUPPORT from friends will help to lessen the pain of loss.
I remember Ian, when you mentioned of Carolyn determination not to undergo heavy radiation. This was a reflection of her priority of quality in life.
You have overcome a big big challenge before, and but managed to replace that with PEACE, JOY and LOVE that are shared by all in the family. Carolyn’s virtues and values have impacted positively on all who get to know her.
Hope your fond memories of her will help in your times of sorrow. Her spirit lives on in our hearts.

To the Fraser family,
My heart goes out to you. I lost my parents to cancer and know how it hurts. Carolyn was such a nice lady, very devoted to her Church and community. Going off topic now: I grew up with Heather. She was in my Sunday School class and I went to HighSchool with her. She was a beautiful, smart, nice girl. She could have been a doctor or lawyer, anything she wanted. I lived on Aberdeen Street. Every time I walked or drove by the Fraser house, my heart would ache for you, the family. Now that I have kids of my own, I feel the same and even worse. I feel that Carolyn's at peace now, able to reconnect with Heather. I hope she can say Hi for me too.Gob Bless you all.

Dear Ian and family,
I knew Carolyn for over 50 years. We worked together at Kemptville and on our days off would ski at Camp Fortune - wonderful idle days!
We continued our friendship as we raised our families - camped together one summer at Hudson Bay trailer park.
Although in later years we corresponded only at Christmas, I always enjoyed her newsy letters. She had an infectious bubbly personality. We had many laughs together.
Her priority was always her family - they were first in her life.
I know you will miss her terribly, but treasure the time you had with her.
With sincere sympathy, Marion Arnold.
