Carl was an amazing man, he could always make us laugh and was so appreciative, when ever he needed us. We are going to miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, at this difficult time.

Jeanne and family, I am sending my sincere condolences. Carl and I had many laughs and stories during his stay at Lanark Lodge. Carl will be missed by all in Honeysuckle Haven. Take care of each other at this difficult time and raise a glass of wine to honour a great man.

I knew Mr. Buckley for about 47 years. He was a very firendly, kind and gentle person. He enjoyed laughter just like the rest of his family. I, and my family, will all miss him dearly.

I knew Carl from the time I was a young teenager on Pike Lake. He and Jeanne, Chris and Susie were frequent customers at out marina. Later on we were neighbours near Smiths Falls. A nicer man than Carl you would not meet. He was a most kind and pleasant man. My condolences to Jeanne, Chris and Susie and your families. Love from Heather

Jean, so sorry to hear about Carl. I remember the days when you and Carl volunteered with the therapeutic riding program. What Carl may have lacked in horse skills he more than made up for in his positive and cheerful manner. I also remember the fundraising meetings in my kitchen over coffee where Carl volunteered his accounting skills. And when my son Owen was born you were both so supportive. Just wanted to let you know we are thinking about you. Cindy and Owen

While distance did not allow many visits, I have fond memories of Uncle Carl. I have childhood memories of silly family get togethers that were full of laughter. As an adult I had the good fortune to visit the Ottawa area on business and to hear Uncle Carl and Grandma lovingly debate whether I looked more like Mom or more like Dad. I know that his good heart will be missed greatly by Auntie Jean, Chris, Susan and thier families.
