To Carol's Family,
I had the great honor of getting to know Carol while I was a staff member at the Manor. I have special memories of her when I first started there as she made sure I knew what my role was and what her role was when it came to doing things!! I know that she will be missed very much by all her friends and the staff still at the manor.

Russell and Joan: I was so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. When visiting Aunt Barb at the manor I always looked forward to a visit with Carol. The first time I went to the manor she knew who I was and I was shocked by that. She always asked about mom as well, what a sweetheart she was. She will be mised by many people. May God bless and comfort you at this difficult time. Judy Charles

Great memories
Aunt Carol makes me chuckle every time I think of her. She was determined, always marching somewhere whether it was down to the barn or back to the bush I can see her in my mind's eye never strolling, always on a mission to get some where. She loved her flowers and was often found returning from a trip to the bush where she picked wild flowers and brought home bouquets. She could name each one in her bouquet and sometimes we would find a trillium transplaned by our back door at the stone house. She was a strong worker and tackled any job no matter how large and had her own way of doing it rather it was the easiest way or not. When I would stay over night with Grandma and Grandpa I would sleep with Aunt Carol and she would read me stories. She loved Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie. It never bothered me that she didn't always get the words right she was just loving on me like she always did. She loved puzzles and again she'd make me chuckle as in the manor she wouldn't want to take one down to do another one so she just did the next one on top. I would go crazy with all that to look at but that's how she did it. Over the years I have not been home often and long stretches would go between visits and I would arrive with my kids older and different but she ALWAYS knew who we were even when we showed up unexpectedly. Aunt Carol was a treasure and has left me with many fond memories. Debbie (Joynt) Mitchell
