Oh Graeme...my hero from Sharbot Lake detachment. At a time when I was an awful investigator after doing traffic duties for a few years elsewhere..Graeme took me and Larry under his wings and taught us how to do a proper criminal investigation. The year I left Sharbot Lake I had the highest number of criminal offence charges and convictions than any one else...all because of Graeme !! And Larry went on to become a Criminal Investigator until his tragic and untimely death. I will never forget the faith he had in me as a young female constable to do more than write speeding tickets. Thank you Graeme, I have never forgotten you, remembered you fondly and will always remember. He was a good man, a good teacher. My condolences to the family with sincerity. Ginny Cameron Aitchison

Dear Anne and Family,
Maidi and I were so very sorry to hear about Graeme's passing. He will be missed by all who knew him. You could always tell when Graeme was in the room by his unmistakable, deep but jolly laugh. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, at this time of great personal loss. If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to call.

Ms Anne Williams and Family.
I was very saddened to read of Graeme's passing on an OPP Vets' email. Graeme and I met when he was posted to Elmvale Detachment and I was young man taking the Law & Security Program at Georgian College and an Auxiliary Police Officer. He became my mentor and comrade. I joined the OPP in 1975. His unique wit, sense of humour and his infectious laughter are unforgettable. I will always treasure the experience and wisdom that Graeme left with me. Unfortunately the job separated us geographically and I last saw him during the Ice Storm in 1998 while I temporarily assigned to the Lanark County. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please accept our sincere sympathy for your loss. Larry and I didn't know Graeme well, but we remember our days on the Rideau and seeing you when we both had boats, and he and Larry laughingly comparing their boating expertise or lack their of. You are in our thoughts.

We were very saddened to hear of Graeme's passing. We have so many wonderful memories of the time he worked with Stan as a Constable with the OPP in Elmvale. Our children were all little and the police families were very close. We remember Ward and Stacy as little ones - baby showers and birthday parties. It was a lovely time. I am saddened that we haven't kept in touch. We will always remember Graeme's warmth and lovely smile. May God give you comfort in your memories. Our Sympathies to all.- Sandra

Grade Nine in FF High School
Graeme and I were both a bit of class clowns but then I think the whole class was. Anyhow we were in science class and the teacher was talking and doing a project and of course Graeme and I were fooling around with the water tap which were at each table and spraying others with it. The teacher said to Graeme "Small minds toy with small things". Graeme piped up and said "And smaller minds look on". The teacher said "Well you got me there Graeme"... ha ha
