I never had the good fortune of having Natalie for a school teacher;but she taught me many lessons of how to live;and treat others! She did not allow illness to destroy her zest for live;and I doubt if she ever held a grudge in her life. She was one of the most optimistic person I have met in my life. I was always grateful to see her bright smile, and kind words.
This will be a difficult time for her family;but keep your faith that she is passing her torch onto you and many others. Thank God for all the blessings we knew because of her!

Memories of a wonderful teacher

Natalie was my public speaking coach and teacher in the early 1980s at PDCI. She was unflagging in her encouragement and support, and always managed to bring out the very best in all of her students. What I remember most all these years later is her radiant smile and unique capacity to instil a sense of self-belief in the young people whose lives she touched. Natalie was a tremendous inspiration, and was one of those rare souls who always gave you her complete attention and made you feel as though whatever you happened to be saying was important and worth listening to, even if it was in fact utterly trivial. I feel blessed to have known her at a formative time of my life, and extend my deepest sympathies to John and the family.

Bravery
Mrs. Gibb-Carsley was a teacher at PDCI when I was a student there. I had absolutely no artistic ability, so I never had her as a teacher. I do remember how brave she was when accompanying a group of students on the Mount Washington Outdoors Club hike. She never gave up during four difficult days and always laughed at her aches and pains. An inspiration for sure.

Genuine and True
I am saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person. She was a genuine pleasure to visit and true to her words. She was an inspiration to many. I found her to be caring, kind, motivational and a truly stately woman. I write proposals now for a living and often think of her when I finish the document knowing she gave me the encouragement to pursue my true talent. I will miss seeing her at the church and in the community. Perth suffered a great loss when this wonderful woman passed away but we are also blessed by her contributions.
