To the family of Rick Bowes. My sincere condolences. Rick was a good friend of mine. He was by far the funniest , kindest man I knew and I cannot fathom the loss you are all feeling at this time. Rick had this fish dance that always had me in stitches.! You had to see it to believe it.!I will remember him for his kindness, his love of music and his great spirit that lifted me up when I was down.He was always there for me when I needed an ear. Mr. Bowes was by far the best person I had the pleasure of meeting. And I will, as many others will, miss him dearly. R.I.P my friend.

I knew Rick through work. I do plein air work and was delighted to find that Rick hiked and did art work. Rick is the person who got me interested in Frontenac Park, where I have produced many water colour sketches. He was the biggest guy, always encouraging me to go further with my art. He loved my monotone water scenes, recently liking them on face book.
He loved all music. I was shocked to find that he listened to just about anything. I will never forget the time Rick was helping me monitor my route and I had a teenager on the bus. The teenager comes on the bus complaining that he needs more bands to listen to. Rick and him start a conversation and the teen goes away with a list of bands.
I will miss you so much, Rick. What a big heart you had.

On behalf of all the staff and campers of Easter Seals Camp Merrywood I would like to express our sincere sympathy to Rick's family. Rick did an amazing job at Merrywood Camp for the past two summers. We could always count on him to safely transport our campers and staff. The campers enjoyed his easy going manner and interest in what they were doing. He will be very much missed this summer.

We have had the great privilege of working with Rick and watching him provide the very best transportation service with a smile to our children at Merrywood Easter Seal camp for two summers. He had an infectious personality and the kids enjoyed having him as their driver. Our prayers are with all of you.
