Diana and I were saddened to hear that Aunt Doris had passed away. We were lucky enough to have had a wonderful visit with her recently. She was a unique lady with an infectious sense of humour. I have always viewed her as my second mother and will miss her greatly.

I am sorry for your loss and I will always have many good memories visiting with Ken and Doris at the McDougall family reunions and working over the years at The Garden Market in Smiths Falls. I enjoyed catching up on family news and sharing conversations with Ken and Doris and other employees at The Garden Market. Ken used to keep busy with projects at the store and Doris worked on packing spices. Retirement was not in their vocabulary. My grandparents kept me caught up with how Doris was doing when living at Van Horne Manor and then to Broadview Nursing home. I continue to keep busy nursing in Brockville at the hospital. I do ask Derick about Joe and family when in town between my shiftwork. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this time. From Laurie McDougall
