Deb my dear, you left us way too early. I miss you. two weeks ago our last conversation lasted less then a few moments. I knew you weren't well and your final words were not goodbye, but "I love you" which I repeated the same back to you. I cherish those last words from you to me.......til we meet again.

As I sit here writing this I am thinking back to when we first met in 1973. I finally met the cousin I had been writing to since 1972. I can still remember the details and I knew then we would remain friends forever. My forever friend is gone now and I still can't believe it. I knew when we spoke last that you were so ill but I never thought that it was your time to leave us. I know we will someday see each other again Deb, until then know that you are in my heart and my thoughts always my forever friend

Dear Aunt Helen, Uncle Garry, and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Helen, I know this is a heartbreaking time but I feel Deb is already looking down on us from a peaceful place and she will always be around you in spirit when you need strength.
My dad had a soft spot in his heart for Debbie ( and all the Hogan children! ). I was told he used to enjoy taking her for dinner on the weekend at our grandparents' house. They are together again; maybe even having a meal with my grandparents!

I was so very saddened, and shocked to read of Deb's passing. My sympathies to all her family. Although I hadn't seen her in a few years, I often thought of her, and reminisced about our friendship in the early '70's. She helped me move to Ottawa in '71. We lost track of each other for a while, then lived together for a short while in the mid '80's on Baseline Rd. in Ottawa. I just read last week's EMC today, and saw her obituary. Please know that if I had known, I would have been at her funeral. Deb loved life, her animals, friends, and family. She will be missed. Rest in peace my dear old friend.........Terri
