We Remember Cpl. Nathan Frank Cirillo died standing guard in Ottawa Cpl. Nathan Cirillo died tragically while on honorary guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the age of 24. Cpl. Cirillo was a reservist from Hamilton serving with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada regiment. He died a short time after the attack despite frantic efforts to revive him at the base of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A father, a son, a brother, a soldier, a Canadian. Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent died in a hit-and-run attack in Quebec Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, 53, was killed after being struck in a hit-and-run attack in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. He was a 28-year veteran of the Canadian Forces. His career as a firefighter brought him to military bases across the country, serving in Halifax, Valcartier, Que., Montreal, Trenton, North Bay, Edmonton, Comox, B.C. and Esquimalt, B.C.. Two of his former colleagues told CBC News he was a quiet man who loved cycling and will be deeply missed by family and friends. A son, a brother, a soldier, a Canadian.
