I truly cared for her so much and really respected her for her kindness, sweetness and very wise ways. I loved talking to her when we got together and treasured her for her love of books, life and I guess just her totally British point of view. As you know, my mum was British and that made Irene very special to me. What a blessing to have known such a remarkable lady! Though very hard of hearing,it was astounding how she would sit with Anne and be so interested in the activities of those around her. Her graciousness,and dry wit endeared her to me. You shall miss this sweet mother,but hold tight in the knowledge that she is with her heavenly father,and all pains and sorrows released!
