My condolences to the Marlke and Campbell families. When I think of Nancy I will always remember how she would come to our farm for her two litre basket of strawberries every season. I will miss seeing her and the llittle chat we would always have. She was one of our most complimentary customers.

Special Times
Nancy and I became friends a couple of years ago. She was looking for a gardener and someone to help with things around her home. We gardened together, cleaned house together, shopped together, had meals out together, went to church together on Christmas Eve 2013 and did many other things together including sharing our past with each other. The best part of our friendship was our laughter together...I loved to hear Nanc laugh. I will never forget when she told me she was so happy that we meet each other. ❤

Swimming in the ocean
Nancy came with us to Barbados for our son, Kaylen's wedding in 2012. He was special to her as he was born just days before Derek passed away in 1983.
She spoke of an earlier trip she had taken with her mom to Barbados and that she was sorry she never got in for a swim. We took her for lunch before leaving, and then inlisted the help of our 6'4" friend, Phil who carried her out to water. She was scared at first but as she floated and tossed in the waves the biggest smile came across her face and then the laughter. She was thrilled to finally feel the Caribbean waters. It was a beautiful moment to share that with her.
