My sincerest love and sympathy to the Garton family on the death of Jean - wife, mother grandmother, aunt, neighbor - and "Mrs. Garton" to me. She was one of my 4-H leaders during very formative teenage years when I spent almost every Saturday afternoon with her in Mrs. Drummond's basement or kitchen for sewing or cooking clubs. I also remember her as a fine cookie baker. Homemade cookies always in my dear friend Deanna's school lunches! I also remember with appreciation the warm reception I always received in the Garton home. Especially poignant for me at this time is to grieve with the family Mrs. Garton's last years lost in the world of Alzheimer's disease as is my own mother. Strength to all of you as you say goodbye.
