sudden passing.It has been many years since our last get-together with the North Bay gang.I first met Ray as a youth back in Smooth Rock Falls in the late 1940s only to meet again in the late 50s. I am sorry for your loss, and share in your pain. I had a great visit with Ray this fall in the Adoration Chapel, one of many over the years. Since the chapel is closed this evening due to weather, I will offer an extra hour of prayer for him and for you, his family. I will also offer my Communion at Mass this weekend for the repose of his soul.

A smile to be missed ...
<p>
There are many faces that walk through the door of a church each weekend, but Ray's ... well that was one that we will truly miss.</p>
<p>
Simply, there was a smile, a warmth, a confidence, a greeting ... you felt blessed to see him once again. Even the last time I visited with him in hospital, there was that smile, that calmness, and even that sense of humour as he first apologized for how his hair looked he had apparently tried to wash it himself and realized too late that he did not have a brush or comb. Such a treasure, such a loss.</p>
<p>
To Colleen and the family: words may fail us but prayer never does. While we may not speak to him in person, we believe he is always present, always watching, always uniting his prayers with ours ... and that is simply a very good thing.</p>
<p>
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. Requiecat in pace faithful servant.</p>

Dearest Colleen, Alana, Laura, Dan and family, I am very sad and sorry for the loss of the Patriarch (husband, father and grandfather and much more.) I am honored to have met Ray and all of you . You are all a fabulous family full of joy, love and happiness! Ray would want that to continue. I remember how Ailan sat tightly next to Alanna whom sat tightly next to Ray on your sofa at Thanksgiving and I thought to myself how great to see the love within the 3 generation family! Hockey grandpa

First and foremost, my deepest sympathy to all, family and friends who have had the pleasure of having Ray touch your lives. Ray to me and my son was "Hockey Grandpa", with recent seperation for my husband and I, both Dan and Hockey Grandpa Ray were an extreme help with rides and comfort. Ray was devoted and dedicated to his grandson Caden's hockey as well, he was kind enough to always include my son Matthew S.-C. Pilon. He always showed up on time, with willingness and a smile.
