Dear Bev, Melissa and Matthew
I was greatly saddened by yesterday's news of Dave's death. My heart goes out to all of you and your family.
I was fortunate to have had a great visit with Dave before Christmas when he dropped in to say hello at the lake. We got caught up in all the news of both our families and mutual friends. It was evident that he was so proud and cared such a great deal about you. The attributes that I admired about my mother, Rosemary, are also repeated when I think of Dave--respect, responsibility, commitment, compassion and love of those who meant so much to him. He used those touch stones as a teacher as well which brought him positive results in his working career with students. Big hugs to you all. Always your friend
