We live two houses away and Mary Shepard lived between us. Since Joe retired we would watch him drive by almost every day on his way for coffee with his regulars at McDonalds. Jesse while she was able spent every good day in her garden and they were gardens to envy. My parents were one of the first on the street and though highly of Joe and Jesse. I was fortunate to have visited with them last fall they were lovely neighbors and Joe will be missed. Our prayers are with Jesse and her children who have been there every day for some time now.</p>
