I knew Gerry when I was active in the Smiths Falls Little Theatre in the '60's. She was always vibrant and undertook her participation in the different roles with fun and laughter. I had her cast as the witch in Bell, Book & Candle, but the rest of the cast bowed out and I couldn't get backstage help, so we had to cancel. That was the end of SFLT in "69. Several years ago, we used to see Gerry at Mass here in Prescott, but she didn't remember me. A year ago, or so, we met at the Van Horne retirement home on our monthly visit there but she wasn't the same Gerry we knew years ago. May she enjoy everlasting peace with our Lord.</p>

I want to thank my sister, Christine, for all she has done for our Mother over the last several years. She devoted herself to make sure Mother was as safe and comfortable as was humanly and physically possible. With Mother having her own stubborn streak, Christine, had her work cut out for her, to do what was best for Mother as opposed to what Mother wanted to do. I know that Christine did what she did out of love for our Mother and would do it again. The pain Christine is having right now will subside over time, but will never go away. I hope that as she reads this little note (through the years) she will smile and have a good thought about all the good times she shared with Mother and over time be comfortable with herself, and know that she did everything that was possible for a loving daughter to do, to prolong the life of the Mother we all love so much. So, thank you, Chris.
