McVeigh, Robert W. ‘Bob’ Peacefully, in hospital in Perth with his family by his side on Saturday, August 16th, 2008, Robert W. McVeigh at the age of 70. Beloved husband for 44 years of Ruth (Tullis) McVeigh. Dearly loved Dad of Scott (Debbie), Graeme (Kristina) and Pam (André Roy); cherished grandpa of Jordan, Kristen, Taylor, Dominique, Aliza and Daniel. Dear brother of Stanley (Patsy) and Shirley McConnell (Gordon). Bob will also be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks to our families, neighbours and friends for their support. A special thanks to the Great War Memorial staff that cared for Bob and especially to Dr. Drummond and Dr. Del Grande. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark on Monday, August 18th, 2008 from 2 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Lanark on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. followed by a reception in the Church hall.
