Dear Barb and Family,
Please accept my most sincere condolences, my heart broke when I heard the news. Pete was an amazing person who taught me a great deal when I worked for you at Leclaire's. His dry sense of humour and the twinkle in his eye always made me smile. His strong family values were inspirational and it was always so clear how much he loved each of you and how proud he was of his family. I have the pleasure of seeing Carl from time to time and see so much of Peter in him. My heart goes out to each of you. I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to know Pete, he was a wonderful man who I had so much admiration and respect for. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will treasure my memories of Pete and I know your memories will bring you comfort in the days to come. I'm sending prayers and love to the entire family.

I was so sad to hear of Pete's passing. Tammy and I were so very lucky to know your family over the years working at the store in Arnprior. I have so many great memories chatting with Pete early in the morning before he and Barb headed out for their weekly trip to Wendy's in Perth. He was a very special man that I will always remember with a smile. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

It is a wonder I meet this message of Peter who passed away very recently. I feel very sorry very sorry for you!!May be you do not remember me, we met at HBS Wijnstraat 133 and Ella (Els) Maris was my friend in those days. May be you remember her! Het spijt me zo voor je om Peter te moeten missen na zoveel jaar samenzijn. Jullie hadden een vol gezin en dat zijn bijna altijd de mooiste families. Ik herkende de foto van Piet direct op Internet. Jullie waren regelmatig toch in mijn hoofd en dacht dan : Hoe zal hun leven verlopen zijn?? Wonderlijk had ik hem zo gevonden. Ook wonderlijk want een uur geleden informeerde ik ook bij Mien Staat en zij woonde dicht bij jullie en zij noemde heel jullie gezin op van de Vissersdijk. Maar zij kon me niet verder informeren en nu zie ik deze droeve mededeling.....en weet dus meerdere dingen nu...Beppie alle sterkte toegewenst van Bas den Bakker uit de Klundert. (als je geen herinnering meer hebt hieraan moet je het maar laten rusten, dan is het ook goed) dag Beppie......

We were so sorry to hear of your great loss. There isn't a time when we drive by the "old store" that we don't think of you and Peter....we missed you so much when you moved. Dearest Barb and family, We were so sorry to hear of your great loss. We have so many fond memories of Peter from days at the store in Arnprior...we always chuckled when Peter made Tammy and Troy "managers" of the store...our two children thought so much of both of you...couldn't have had better "bosses" and such great friends...you were their other family and you had such positive influence in their teen years.
