It was with great sadness that Anita and I learned of Uncle Jack's passing. Our condolences go out to you, Mary, and to all the family. We will certainly miss all the great conversations we had at the family reunions and the many other locations over the years.
We will always remember Jack with a great smile, sense of humour and a beer in his hand. May he rest in peace.

I well remember Jack from his days at NRC. Now and then I had to come by to ask him to do some glass-blowing for me, and he was always willing to help. Jack was a cheerful person, and it was a pleasure to go and visit him.
I was at NRC from 1966 to 2000.

I was sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I have good memories of our work together in Venezuela, Australia etc., and very grateful to you and Jack for letting me use your truck to help move our daughter, Nora, to Kingston [about 1980] when she was going to Queen's. I also fondly recall your visit to Singapore with your parents about 1983.
Nancy and I send our sincere sympathy to you at this difficult time.

Memories of Jack
I had the honour of working with Jack at NRC, and at noon hour we often went for walk and talks. He was always so proud of his children always bragging about their achievements. Meeting Mary brought about a good change in Jack and he became more joyful and true he had many funny stories to tell. He truly enjoyed life. I was always astounded by his glass blowing and often had to call on him for special work for the good Dr. Hertzberg. God bless you Jack and I look forward to good stories in heaven.
