I am saddened to learn of Mike's untimely passing. I have known Mike through work, since he started on the CPR back in the 1970s. I had the opportunity to work with Mike many times over the years when he worked out of London. To Mike's children; railroading is a hard job with terrible hours, but those of us that do it not only because we enjoy some aspects of it, but primarily because we are supporting our families. The sacrifices made, like missed birthdays and school events when you were growing up, were difficult at the time to understand, but done with the best of intentions. In terms of work, Mike was respected and well liked by the guys he worked with, including myself. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Good luck to all of you.
