To My Cousins Jane, Nancy, Anne and Gillian,
I was so saddened to hear of your mother's passing last Sunday and my heart goes out to all of you.
It seems that these sad events connect us again and again and I only wish that I could be with you on Thursday to say goodbye to your mum. She has been a special connection to the past for me and has always been welcoming, warm and affectionate. I will never forget her kindness and love towards my brother during his last days; she was non-judgemental and truly cared for his well-being. Your mother had such a big heart!
My sons, Josh and Warren, who only recently got to really meet your mother, wish to express their condolences. Warren found your mum's stories about our youthful escapades so delightful and thought Auntie Barb to be an absolute treat!
Larry is also so saddened - he and Auntie Barb hit it off so well and he so enjoyed visiting her home in Perth and the cottage. He sends his sincere condolences.
Auntie Barb most certainly had a way of telling stories, and in a most entertaining way. Her stories delighted us all.
We are all thinking of you - it is a difficult time - I am sure you can take comfort in knowing that your mother and father may well be together at long last.
With love,
Your cousin, Susan

Dear Woody, Jane, Anne, Jill, and families,
We are thinking of you and how much you will all miss your mom. Barb was a warm, caring, devoted mother and she was proud of all of you and of her grandchildren and sons-in-law. She was always interested in everyone and never failed to ask about our family and to share her good wishes when we had something to celebrate. It was a pleasure to have known her and we will miss her too.
Thinking of you all - and will see you at the funeral.
Love

I was so very sorry to hear that your mother had passed away. I have wonderful memories of happy playtimes at your home and cottage, many years ago. Your mother was witty, caring and kind and I have asked my mother about her over the years. I am thinking of you at this sad time . Janet and mom have met you today and I wish I could have accompanied them but I live quite far away . You will have so many special memories. With my sincere sympathy , Anne.

Dear Jane,
Your mother was very important to many of us as we grew up in Perth. She was different from other mothers or at least it seemed that way to me. She was a big city person in a very parochial town. I didn't understand that of course at the time but I did know that she had adifferent view of life. I recall that she was fun and witty and dramatic and stylish.
I remember well that you were my first date. I think it was kindergarten or grade one and I was sooo nervous. I gave you a gift and all I can remember was that it was something red. Your mother did everything to make me feel comfortable that evening as I picked you up with my father waiting in the car. Later on she became my mother in the play the Five Little Peppers. I was son Jasper and as they say no one knows what goes on behind the scenes!! She whipped us all into shape by opening night and it was fun but I think I realized then and there that theatre was not my calling. Little did I appreciate how important a stage presence can be as one moves through life.
I keep pace a little of things "Perth" as we are home annually and either thru my mother or Denise I knew your Mom was alive and well and making her way in the world. Nothing really prepares us for this type of personal loss but I bet you and your sisters and families are having many tears and good laughs and this is the best medicine . Your mother left her positive mark in this world and I would say an indelible one. That is what we can all hope for. I will be thinking of you and your family. Best regards and I look forward to our paths crossing one of these fine days. Your home on Mary Street will always be the O'Donnell's home to many of us. Good health to all of you and look after one another.

Dear Jane O,
I was so sorry to hear about your mother. When I visited Perth over the past few years, I often ran into your mum. She looked just beautiful, and was always full of stories about her girls - she loved you all dearly.
I remember as a small shy child going to your house on Mary Street to play, and being made to feel at home. I will remember her as a very kind soul.
Your mother and mine shared a June birthday and I always think of her on that day, and will continue to.
My sympathy to Nancy, Anne and Gill and your families.
with love

To Jane, Nancy, Anne, Gill and families,
We were saddened to hear about Barbara's passing, and know that you are all going through a very sad and emotional time right now. Both your father and mother were such special people, and memories of our times with you and them are still fresh and very much a part of us. Conversations with Barbara revealed a passionate soul who had a profound love for her "girls". Though much time has passed since we last saw you, we have always wished that the distance between us was far less.
Our hearts go out to you with love and sympathy in your sorrow. You have been blessed to have had such a devoted mother, and may your fond memories of her be a comfort to you. Please know that you are in our thoughts in the days to come.
With sincere love and affection,
Your cousins Jill, Jenny and Katie

Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of Barbara, I recall her and and the family quite well. I remember when they would on occasion attend a gathering at my Dad's house, Judge Frank W. Wilson and on other occasions. I had great respect for Barb and her husband and remember Barb hanging around with my sister Margaret, they were the same age. So many good memories. God's Peace be with you all.
