Dear Susan & David, Your mother was my fifth grade teacher in 1963. I only have the fondest memories of her. I am very sorry for your loss. I always think of your mother when the topic of John F. Kennedy is discussed. She was the person who told us about the assassination. I remember her urgently leaving the classroom. I remember her returning, visibly shaken. Unable to fight back her tears, she told us what had happened. It was a moment that I will never forget. Kindest regards, Jack Muir
