Mackie, George R. Suddenly at his home, R.R.# 1 Perth on Saturday, November 1st, 2008 George Reginald Mackie at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Minnie Hannah Rycroft. Dear father of Gladys (Mike) Ryall and George Jr. (Tuffy) both of Perth, Michael Mackie of Rock Island, Quebec and the late Deborah Mackie. Cherished grandfather of Anthony (Charlene) and Matthew Rediker, Kandy, David and Amber Mackie and Gail and Tammy Chase; great grandfather of Christian Rediker. Dear brother of James (Shirley) Mackie of LaSalle, Quebec and the late Mary Jane McKellar. George will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law Norman Laurent, all his family and friends. He was the son of James and Marie-Ange (Roy) Mackie. George loved to go for drives and watch sports on television. He enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and all other animals that he came in contact with. George always had a smile on his face and kind words for anyone. We are truly blessed for having him in our lives. Visitation and services were held in Stanstead, Quebec.
