Dear Ed and Christine: words cannot convey my profound sadness upon hearing this news. I came to know Doreen through Nancy and Peg and was always impressed by her. Her intelligence, quick wit, tenaciousness were some of her many qualities I admired. The most vivid memory I will always have of Doreen was her complete devotion to Jim, Nancy, Paul and her parents during their illness. She was passionate in her endeavours and was a delight to know. Denice, you have lost another sister and my heart goes out to you along with Doreen's beloved grandchildren Matthew and Meagan.

Dear Ed, Christine and Denise and extended family. I am very saddened at the loss of a lifetime friend. We grew up together and eventually became work colleagues. We always had our annual birthday lunch to celebrate our age being 5 days apart.. Doreen was such a beautiful vibrant intelligent woman and I always enjoyed our conversations. She will be greatly missed by many. Rest in peace friend.

Doreen was a Joy!
Her vivacious personality and piercing intellect combined with her grace and compassion were gifts that her friends and professional colleagues were privileged to enjoy.
Her love, devotion and fierce loyalty to her family and friends was respected and admired by all who knew her.
I was privileged to observe her love, compassion and devotion during the final illnesses of her parents and sister Nancy. Doreen and Denise gave without limit from their hearts.
In turn the love and compassion was returned to Doreen in her final illness by all those who loved and cared for her.
Our hearts go out to Ed, Christine and Denise as well as to Judi and Barb.
Losing Doreen has created a large hole in all our hearts that can never be adequately filled.
