Peacefully, at the Broadview Nursing Centre, Smiths Falls, on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, Herbert Ross Allen in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Nesbitt. Fiance and longtime companion of Rita Shields. Dear father of the late David Allen. Step-father of Judy (Brian) Kelly of Lombardy, Sharon (Bill) Stilwell of Smiths Falls and Cheryl Ann (Jack) McConnell of Jasper. Brother-in-law of Jean O'Connor of Kingston. Also survived by four grandchildren and survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, December 4th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday December 5th at 1:30 P.M. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
