Aunt Carole, Susan, Oune, Ace & all family,
We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Owen's passing. He was truly one of a kind & gifted in so many ways. I will always remember being welcomed every visit with open arms & that witty Pepper humour. I am blessed to have two paintings in our home that he painted, wrapped, rolled & shipped to my dad out west. They were framed & placed front & centre to show how proud my dad was of his brother Owen the artist. You are all in our thoughts & prayers. Love Lisa Pepper & Family

I arrived in Smiths Falls in Jan. 1996. It wasn't very long before Oune and myself sat down and had a RR talk, about small towns, being a railroader and hunting and fishing. While I am younger by 16 years I told him of my growing up in a RR family, hunting on the farm with my brother, fishing, maki.g maple syrup and my first RR job...as A clerk, something I was good at and always respected. Owen gave me a hand drawn ( pencil) steam locomotive set at the Smiths Falls station, it still hangs in a conspicuous place in our home. Truly a man/person of character...my privelige to have met him. Condolences to all the family and Carole.
