What a lovely and gracious lady Martha was! We were saddened to hear of her passing.
Martha, Frank....and Jessie were neighbours of ours on Elmgrove Road almost twenty years ago. They were kind and friendly to us "newcomers to Perth" and although they were a generation older we shared some happy times by the pool and out in Frank's fishing boat.
They were proud parents and grandparents; good role models for us .....then parents of two university students. We speak of Martha and Frank often, in fact, whenever I take a sip from a pop can my husband reminds me that Frank would caution against that...... given information gathered during his soft drink bottling days. "One never knows what lurks in the bottom of a can!" Better to use a glass or at least a straw.
We will always remember them for their kindness and friendship.
