At Lanark Lodge, Perth, on Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 at the age of 94. Loved husband for almost 72 years of Edith (Foster) Cameron. Alvin was the loved and respected father of Frank (Lois), Thelma (Jim) Munro, John (Marg), Gloria (late Sheldon) Salter, Ron (late Nancy), Brenda (Ken) Wright, Linda Beattie and George "Sonny" (Bonnie) Cameron. He will be sadly missed by his 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Alvin was predeceased by his parents Eliza Ann (Buchan) and Thomas Cameron, sisters Isobel McRuer and Bertha Dobbie and brothers Alfred, George and infant brothers Thomas and Garvin. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street West, Perth on Friday, January 2nd, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday in St. Paul's United Church, Perth at 11:00 A.M. Interment Highland Cemetery, McDonalds Corners. In remembrance contributions to St. Paul's United Church Memorial Fund or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
