Beloved wife of the late Gerald Johnston and by first marriage the late Herbert Lumsden. Loved mother of Shirley (Wayne) Convey of Montague Twp., Sharon (Arlon) Popkey and John (Tim) (Marilyn) Lumsden both of Guelph, Sheila Doyle of Smiths Falls, Ron (Shirley) of Lombardy, Bill (Linda) of Ottawa, Ray (Linda) Lumsden of Brockville and the late Pat Beattie. Dear sister of Frances Proulx of Smiths Falls and step-sister of Lorraine MacKinnon and the late Bill Attaway. Also survived by 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Mother-in-law of Doug (Judy) Beattie of Brockville. Step-daughter of Mary Maggin of Toronto. Step-mother of Joanne (Alan) Chadwick of Kingston, Dallas (Pat) Johnston of Verona, Nora (Doug) Frobel of Ottawa and David (Diane) Johnston of Montague Twp. Also survived by 9 step-grandchildren and 12 stepgreatgrandchildren. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Saturday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Smiths Falls on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11 A.M. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Bede's Anglican Church would be appreciated.
