Murton passed away peacefully January 16th, 2009 at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth Site at age 85 years. Murton was born & raised in Bob's Lake, Ontario and lived there his entire life. Murton was the beloved husband of Jane, step-father of Jeffrey Brison (Lynda Jessup), Karen Brison (Stephen Leavitt) and Sue Brison (Bill MacPherson), grampa Murt to Jeffrey, David and Darla and uncle Murt to all his nieces and nephews. Murton will also be sadly missed by his sisters Kaye Bennett, Jean Badour and Madge (Elwin) Kirkham. Murton was predeceased by his first wife Margaret, his step-son Paul, his brother Ross (Margaret), sisters Bessy (Harold) Sly and Dott (Floyd) Kirkham brother-in-law Vince Bennett. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 from 10:00 to 10:45 am. To honour Murton's memory a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday January 22nd, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Chapel of the Blair & Son Funeral Home. Interment in the Bolingbroke Cemetery will follow the reception. In lieu of flowers, in remembrance, contributions to The Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
