My heart grieves with you as we mourn the passing of "Aunt" Betty. She will be missed by one and all. Her generous heart, wonderful sense of humor, was surpassed only by the love she had for her "kids", Stephanie, John, Becky, Dylan, and Teegan. Betty and I would often be sitting together, whether it be hockey games, school events, graduations, birthdays or other important family events, she was a proud "mama". Thanksgiving at her beautiful home was always a real treat to attend.
Eternal rest grant unto her Lord as she is welcomed into your loving presence.

Rest in Peace dear friend. I've known Betty for some 60 years, travelling down the street to the corner of Winnifred and Main to Betty's house on my training bike. One day Betty took off the training wheels and said go get em, and surprize I rode it. Never forgot that eventful day, It was hard when high school day arrived and had to call Betty, Miss Mulville we joked about it afterwards.Betty was a trooper, caring and loving person and will be remembered by all she came in contact with. Sincere condolences to the family. "Til we meet again.

We have many memories to treasure of our dear cousin Betty and her brother, Errol. Betty was not only a cousin, but a dear friend who will be missed. We extend sincere condolences to Jonathan, Stephanie, Rebecca, Terri and their families. Their care and support of Betty has been such that Betty could leave us confident that the Mulville/Scanlan traditions and values will continue through them.

Our sincere condolences to Becky, Stephanie and John . Betty was such a positive part of your lives and we hope that in time, you will remember all the fun times . My fondest memory is her job jar at the Ladies Parties and not chastising me for putting the garbage in her garage where the raccoon feasted overnight. Yes, she was quite a Betty!

I was not surprised to see all the great messages for Betty as she has had a very positive affect on many of her past students including myself. She was a great basketball coach-winning many championships for the Smiths Falls senior team. Basketball was a huge part of my life as well as my sister Cheryl; it helped give us a sense of who we were and what we could accomplish. Betty was very good at directing that. I was glad to have time to talk with Betty at the big school reunion (I believe that was in 2005). This was the last time I saw her and she seemed very happy. Rest in peace Betty as you certainly deserve to.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Betty's family, especially Becky who we've known for some years. Betty will be missed by all who's lives she touched. She was always ready with a helping hand, some sound advice, and words to make you laugh. The OVGA tournaments will never be the same without her. RIP my friend and see you on the first tee some day!!!

What an amazing person miss Mulville was she was an amazing coach mentor and best of all a great friend especially in the later year's she would call to see how I was always doing and to just chat. We would see her and she always wanted us to come by the cottage when steph was there so the kids could play. My condolences to all of you.

I had the privilege of knowing "Miss Mulville” as an outstanding teacher and an exceptional coach, particularly in basketball. She and my mom worked together at S.F.D.C.I. for many years, and their enduring friendship provided opportunities for me to regularly reconnect with Betty. Her skill and dedication to her beloved golf were awe-inspiring, and you could always count on her to-the-point approach to things, and her dry humour. She was an exceptional person, and will be greatly missed.
My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

My thoughts are with the family at this time. I will miss seeing Betty at coffee break and all our little chats and remembering our trip to Arizona with the girls basketball team - what a trip that was! I will also remember working with Betty at SFDCI - always a chuckle each and every day. She will be missed by myself and her many, many friends. She will always be in my thoughts.

Dear Jon, Steph and Beckie
While I saw Steph when I visited Betty in KGH -it has been a very long time since I have seen all of you. I recall the years before your Dad was remarried that Betty had all of you in tow - often in her convertible and at the lake. You three became the joy and pride in her life.
Betty was my neighbour, teacher and coach at SFDCI and she had a profound influence on my life. It was Betty who - for one year coached the junior girls team while Janet Milliken was away on leave - Betty gave me a chance and that chance became a life changing opportunity for me. She taught all of us that success was about hard work and preparation and through that year I became a bona fide player - who went on and was part of the long run of championship basketball teams that Betty coached. That love of basketball and sport and her mentorship led me to pursue a degree in Physical Education at Queen's where I also played basketball on the varsity team... so Betty was a role model for me in terms of career, sport and perspective. Her abiding kindness, her authenticity and her sense of humour all provided a guiding light - which I have tried to follow throughout my life.
I will forever miss knowing she is "just up the lake" from me when I returned to our family cottage for some summer vacation - in fact we had a great visit last summer that started at the Ferry store and ended later on her deck!~
I am very sorry that I cannot be at the visitation or the Funeral - I have commitments at Western that don't allow me to travel back to Smiths Falls. My mom Valerie will visit on my behalf - I am grateful that I was able to visit with Betty a few times in the weeks she struggled at KGH. For two of those visits - she was very alert and we - along with Connie were able to reminice about times gone by.
Take care of each other in this very sad time and my wish for each of you is that the grief of losing Betty will give way to the wonderful memories you shared and that you have of her. She was simply the best!

What a wonderful lady Betty was. She was such a strong, kind person that always stood by what she believed in. We have many fun memories of her on and around the golf course. Betty was always a strong supporter of what we were trying to do, and for that we will always be grateful. The quilted blanket that she made for us last winter "for the road" is still in our car. It, like her, will always be treasured. Thanks Betty, we love you!

Hi Jon and Stephanie
Sorry to hear of your Aunt Betty's passing. Although I never had her for a teacher (I did band rather than athletics), she knew my Dad and my Aunt Betty Holman from going to high school with them (even though they were a couple of years younger), and always had a cheerful 'hello' and smile when we met in the halls at SFDCI.
I've enjoyed a couple of visits with her downtown over the years since high school too.
Sorry I was unable to make it to the visitation.
Hope you're both doing well.
Robbie
