I have never read a more touching tribute. It just wrapped up Russell. So many memories from school days in Lanark, the sleep overs and the high school dance nights. All of us at the Lalonde home with Russell making us laugh and putting up with our nonsense with never a harsh word. Then Russell became a solid neighbour to my parents, a neighbour that we all counted on. Life is fleeting but Russell enjoyed life and loved his family, friends & community. He spread happiness and laughter. Our condolences to Corrine & family, and to all my dear friends Mona, Sheila, Beverly, Frankie, Barb & Craig. We all lost a friend this week.

It was with great sadness we heard of the accident that resulted in Russell's passing.
Russell was a good friend to our family. He was always willing to lend a hand to my parents (Mary and Robert Barclay, live across from the big silo as you come into Hopetown from Almonte) who are both disabled. Dad considered Russell to be a very close friend and my parents like Corinne too (pardon any spelling errors).
I'm not sure if Evergreen Lodge or Tunis Temple are planning anything for Russell in the way of a Masonic Service, but I've advised my father in law who is also a member of Tunis Temple in Ottawa to at least let the Perth crew know (in case they hadn't heard).
I was amazed at how energetic and kind Russell was the several times I met him. He was one of the folk that makes the world a better place for others and my family will miss his big, ready smile and his generous spirit.
Rest in peace, Russell - a life well lived indeed.
