Dear Mike -
As you know, Meg was 22 years old in 1969, a student nurse at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, where I spent 31 days with infectious hepatitis (now known as hepatitis A, I think).
Meg was my nurse during much of that time, and I tried to stay in touch afterward.
Your care for Meg has been heroic.
I remembered her and you and Karen and Stephanie at Mass today, and will continue to do so during the days ahead.
May God bless each of you with deep peace, and surround you all with love.

Mr. Fitzpatrick, I don't know if you remember Veronica and Paul, you taught both of them and, to this day, they still give glowing reports, on, how they thought you were one of their best teachers. When I told them the news they were shocked. Meg and I and the girls shared many a laugh and, I had no idea she was ill.
