The Curtains I Didn't Want

I remember one summer day when Marina and her sister were having a yard sale on Queen St. I stopped and looked at some curtains that were the wrong colour, size and style for me, but they both insisted on me buying them. I said " you're selling these curtains like you need the money to buy your next meal" and Marina's sister said "If we don't sell these curtains, we won't have any supper" I never did buy the curtains, but I did remember Marina's sister. On a serious note, when I read Marina's obituary, I was in REAL SHOCK, I couldn't believe it. And then I started to think how long I have known Gerry and the road hockey and all the other memories, then I finally broke down and wept. The tears flowed and so did the memories. The more I thought about it, the more I cried. I feel your pain and loss and I hope God gives you the strength to carry this burden through. Our Father who art in Heaven......
