Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mrs. Playfair.
I fondly recall what a warm and classy lady she was, and her hospitality for at least one Christmas dinner (as well as the hosting of a surprise party for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary) remains very much appreciated.
Every time I see a recipe for "petits fours", I remember how Mrs. Playfair made some for my brother's wedding reception (and that some of us consumed more than our share of them, as they were so delicious).
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
