We are so saddened to hear of Johns passing. When I saw the boat as a back drop to his obituary, I thought how fitting is that. He was a great guy and I will always remember the weekend he took 5 crazy ladies to Alex Bay on his boat and what fun we all had with him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John as a child spent much time at our home in Chesterville. He and all of us were like a close family, for many years, and we enjoyed his visits. As we all grew up, our lives and work separated us us terribly. I ended up in Spokane WA, a practicing surgeon and a clinical professor training MSU Medical students, and also running a surgical residency training program to train surgeons. Close communicate between families was lost. When I retired down here in Spokane in 1998-9, guess who was one of my first visitors. It was John Rivington. My prayers are with you and family John.
