Hale, Dorothy Jean, Peacefully at Lanark Lodge on February 28, 2017. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Jean May Brown of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by her beloved husband of forty nine years, Edward Ledwidge Hale. Also predeceased by her first husband William Arthur Cooke. Dear mother of Roger Alan Cooke (Glenda and daughter Sarah) of Perth and the late William Richard Cooke (Dana) of Selkirk, Manitoba. Fondly remembered by Edward’s children, Skip (Sherry) of Atlin, British Columbia and Debbie of Natick, Massachusetts. Dorothy and Edward operated the Canadian Tire Store in Perth before moving on to a brand new store in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They retired back to Eastern Ontario and built their dream retirement home on the Rideau where they were entertained by the deer, waterfowl and the many songbirds that came to their feeders. Dorothy will be missed by her many wildlife friends including Mr. Chipmunk that came daily for a handful of sunflower seeds. In respect to Dorothy’s wishes no service will be held.
