Jo was well-known on Black Lake and she will be missed. I knew Jo as a kind hearted soul who loved animals. She lived a quiet life but always enjoyed engaging in a good conversation. I pray she is at peace resting in God's embrace.

Jo, you and I have many memories together at the lake. Selena remembers the two of you having a special bond when she was younger. You were just like a kid yourself when the two of you were together - those certainly were happy and carefree times. Between you and your Mom we had neighbours not far away that liked a visit and a laugh or too. It's true that things never stay the same; we've both left the lake, but there will always be a little bit of each other in our hearts. Until we meet again, make sure those little squirrels and chipmunks in heaven get their fair share of peanuts.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mary-Jo. As soon as I saw her picture I knew it was her. We were in Brownies together in Carleton Heights and we use to chum around for a bit when the family lived on Argue Drive and I lived on Phillip Drive.

Argue Drive Growing up on Argue Drive there was no shortage of kids around. No trees or fences yet and bordered by a cow pasture, the end of Argue Drive was the end of the city as we knew it. Tom and Mary-Jo lived right at the end of the street by the park. It was actually just a baseball diamond. That was a long time ago. I was very sorry to hear about the passing of May-Jo. I lost touch with most of those 'kids' in the neighbourhood over the years  I hope Mary-Jo had loving friends and family to share her life with.
