Bowes Family,
I/family had the great opportunity to meet Bill/Sue from working with Erin and Sarah, teaching John, playing hockey with Adam, 'The Wall'(George)and Gavin.
I had the great fortune to play many scramble golf games with Bill/ George and my Father Joe. We always shared some laughs and pure friendship. Best conversations were in a circle at 'Maple Leaves' chatting with Bill and family.
Since 2001 a group of people including Erin / George and The Country Diner sponsorship have wanted to show those with cancer we care. My pledge to the entire 'Bowes Family'. We will continue to dip our paddles from Kingston to Ottawa, every summer in honor of Bill Bowes.
God bless, your family and a very special man.
With the greatest admiration,
Kevin and 'Kayaking for Cancer' Team

I was very shocked and sadden to hear the news of Bill's passing. Bill was a regular customer of mine at my former job. He always stopped at my cash and asked me how I was doing. He always had a smile and a kind word for me. I now work at the Smiths Falls hospital and was shocked to see him as one of our patients. He still had a smile and kind word for me. I cannot beleive he is gone. He was a wonderful, kind hearted man who will be missed. God Bless you and your family. May God wrap his arms around you and give you the strength you need at this very sad time.
