Somerville, Muriel J. Muriel died peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday April 12th, 2009 at Leisureworld, Elmira Ontario at the age of 71. Muriel was predeceased by her parents Clyde and Elsie (Ferguson) Johnston. She was the loved wife of Bob Somerville, dear mother of Lynda Johnston, Donna Wallace, Bobby (Laure) Pettigrew, Carla Fernandes, Billy Pettigrew and Kim (Tom) McInnes; step-mother of Cindy, Steven (Donna) and Rick Somerville and Barb Mardon; grandmother of Michael, Brooke, Nicole, Brodie, Natasha, Josh, Brandon, Courtney, Mary, Kelly (Scott), Melissa and Amanda and great grandmother of Robbie. She was the sister of Glen Johnston, Nora Riopelle, Carl (Linda), Peter (Pauline) and Ernie Johnston and the late Allan and Harold Johnston, Mildred Sargeant and Cheryl Mooney. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth Tuesday April 14th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment, Lanark VIllage Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Alzheimer's Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. The Ladies Auxiliary of Branch 244, Royal Canadian Legion, Perth held a Service of Remembrance Tuesday at 8:00 P.M.
