Smith, Christopher Chris died tragically of an accident on Wednesday June 28th, 2017 at the age of 49 years. He was the cherished husband of Judy (Warrington) Smith; dear son of Brenda and the late Wesley Smith, brother-in-law of Lorraine (Rob) Peters and uncle of Kayla and Joshua. He was the nephew of Larry (Judy), Wayne (Willa), Brian (Janet) and Donald (Cathy) Dowdall, Linda (Jack) Poirier and the late Brian, David and Monty Smith. Chris will be sadly missed by all the Dowdall and Smith families, his many friends and his special friend and companion, his Jack Russell terrier, Dawson. Chris will be especially missed by all the Raymond Shanks team. He was known for his hard work, dependability and friendly nature. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday July 4th, 2017. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 10:30 A.M. followed by a gathering of family and friends at Farrell Hall. In memory of Chris those wishing are asked to consider a memorial donation to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) or the Ottawa Heart Institute.
