Gill, John Proud 50 year Member of the Merrickville Legion Passed away at the Smiths Falls Hospital, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda Jakes. Loving father of Charmaine (Russell) McArthur, Vikki (Denis) Gill-Poulin and the late Sandra Gill. Cherished grandfather of Kervan and Meghan McArthur, Joanne Hurlbert, Jeremy McArthur, Matthew and Konor Poulin and the late Dustin Cadreau and the late Kyle Gill. Predeceased by his parents Matthew Gill, Isabella (Barney) Dennison. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his 7 great-grandchildren, along with his siblings Betty Wiggins, Bernice White, Sherry Dennison, and the late Jimmy and Diane Dennison. John will be sadly missed by his extended family including Lynn-Marie, Rhonda, Ronnie, Rick and Myles as well as his nieces nephews. As per John's wishes the arrangements for the family will remain private. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Merrickville Legion.
